Archibald Young Foundry have a proud history when it comes to creating copper based and aluminium alloy casting products of the highest quality for their clients.
There are 2 main ways that we produce these castings for our customers:
Customers Provide Their Own Tooling
Some of our customers wish to provide us with their own tooling specifications and from this point on these patterns are then used to create the desired castings.
We are extremely flexible in how we work with our existing customers across many sectors in order to ensure that they have the best quality finished products once they leave our foundry.
Tooling Manufactured By Archibald Young Foundry
Customers also have the option of benefiting from our highly skilled in-house pattern makers who can take a brief from our customers and provide them with an in-house pattern, which is made to their exact specifications.
Customers have the option of these be-spoke patterns being stored by us at our foundry for future use or they can choose to uplift these patterns should they wish. We have the in-house capability to cast most metal except steel, in all grades to British, European or American standards.
Proof and finish machined castings can be supplied from our machine shop which is fully equipped for turning, milling and drilling.
Some examples of products which we create include; Impellers, bowls, pumps, casings, bearings, gears, guards, tuyeres, coolers vents, railings and plaques.
We have provided products for many different sectors including; engineering, pump & valves, marine, creative arts, fisheries and power generation.
